2.1 startup preheating
First, close the power switch of the measurement host FE-2100MQ (on the rear panel of the host) and warm it up for 10 minutes. After the boot interface is displayed as follows:
2.2 parameter settings
Press the "Set" key on the panel to enter the parameter setting interface, and you can input the DC coil resistance Rz, coil constant Kz, sample shape type Ty, sample size and upper and lower limit alarm values of magnetic moment of the one-dimensional Helmholtz coil. Please ensure that the input parameters are consistent with the parameters marked on the one-dimensional Helmholtz coil. The setting interface is shown in the following figure. White represents the current cursor position. Press Enter to confirm and enter the next parameter. Finally, press Reset to exit the setting interface.
When the Ty item is selected, there are Cylinder (cylinder, d represents diameter and h represents height in the dimension item),Square (square, l represents length, h represents height and w represents width in the dimension item),Ring (ring, d represents outer diameter, d represents inner diameter and h represents height in the dimension item).
2.3 gear selection
Press the "Range" key corresponding to the panel to change the range of the corresponding fluxmeter, which can be switched between 1mWb, 10 mWb, 100 mWb and 1000 mWb in sequence. It is recommended to use 10-100 mWb.
 
2.4 drift regulation
Please make sure that the Helmholtz coil is not disturbed by strong magnetic fields or ferromagnetic objects (recommendation: ferromagnetic objects, mobile phones, keys, etc. must be three meters away from the coil). Then press the "Reset" key of the panel (as shown in the figure) to observe the digital drift. If the drift drifts in the positive digital direction, adjust the ADJ knob on the panel and rotate in the "-" direction; If the drift drifts in the negative digital direction, adjust the ADJ knob on the panel and rotate in the "" direction; Press the "RESET" key repeatedly to adjust the ADJ knob, until the head of the number basically no drift. Generally, it can be tested by adjusting to about one word per 10S drift.
 
2.5 sample placement
Please prepare a magnetic permanent magnet or rare earth sample and place it on the white rubber column of the coil, as shown in the following figure:

After the sample is placed, press the "Reset" key under the "ADJ" knob or the "Reset" key under the "operation" to clear the magnetic flux reading, then press the "Zero" key to prepare for the test, then pull the sample out of the coil, then press the "Test" key to obtain the result, and the quality data of the sample will be displayed on the LCD screen immediately.

3. Software Introduction
If you use the software on the computer to test, the operation steps are the same as above. The software only has the function of displaying and recording, and cannot control the test, nor does it need any operation except printing the results. (The software needs to be installed first. NET3.5)
 
3.1 serial communication
Connect the computer terminal and the test host through a serial port line. After confirming that the first two are started, open the software FE-2100MQ.exe, and the software will automatically match the corresponding serial port. If the communication fails, please check whether the connection line is loose, turn off the software after confirmation, and then turn it on again.
There is a drive CD in the matching RS-232-to-USB. If the serial number cannot be found in the device manager of the computer and the computer lacks a drive, please install the drive.
 
3.2 parameter column
In the icon row, select the same sample appearance type as in the test host, and fill in the size parameters.
SN stands for serial number and can be changed to distinguish different test samples.
COM stands for serial port number, as mentioned above.
Date represents the date, the default operating system current date, can be changed.
 
3.3 Control Bar
Press Del Current to delete the currently selected data row (highlighted in blue).
Press "Clear All" Press to clear all data obtained from the current test.
Press Export Date to export the current test data, which is in *.dat format by default.
 
3.4 considerations

If the reading of the flux meter fluctuates back and forth in the test host and cannot be adjusted to zero through the ADJ knob on the panel, please do not worry about the machine problem, which is caused by the interference of the power supply grid at that time. Just pause the measurement and wait for the magnetometer to stabilize and measure again.
Be sure to ensure that the flux meter is stable during testing and minimize drift.
